Rooibos Tea Reviews

Rooibos tea, or red tea as it is called in Africa, is one of the most common herbal tea substitutes for traditional tea.  Rooibos tea has been cultivated in Africa for centuries but really received the critical acclaim it deserved only in the late 90s.  Rooibos drinkers say they love the tea for its sweet, nutty taste and high antioxident content.  These heretics also say that red rooibos teas help them with allergies, indigestion, and skin ailments.  We think they're just trying to stand out from the crowd.  Regardless, some rooibos teas are well worth your time and money.  If you aren't big on herbal tea, you should still give African Rooibos tea a shot.  Let us know what you think.

Trader Joes Ruby Red Chai Tea

Dax: Rooibos tea is categorized as a caffeine free tea from the African plains that soothes the mind, body, and soul. Trader Joe's Rooibos Chai Tea has a distinctive clove aroma that reminded me of a holiday. No holiday in particular, just a holiday...(Read more)

Double Koi Rooibos Tea

Mike: Double Koi Rooibos is the best Rooibos Tea I've had, period. I am not a fan of the herb, generally but this one from Double Koi Tea may have changed my mind. This teasan tends to avoid herbal teas because they....(Read more)

Alnatura Glucks Tee

Dax: Alnatura tea has some great earth tones in their packaging, and also some fire rooibos tea.  Glucks tee, which I'm guessing has something to do with vanilla and rooibos tea, is a great bold dessert tea that will have you reaching for some...(Read more)

Mighty Leaf African Nectar Rooibos Tea

Dax: The easiest way to experience quality rooibos tea is to steep some of Mighty Leaf African Nectar Tea.  I don't know what elephant they rode in on, but it was packed heavy with flavor and enough rooibos to build a roof with.  Mighty Leaf set the new...(Read more)

Organic and Pure Cinnamon Rooibos Chai Tea

Mike: Organic and Pure Cinnamon Chai with Rooibos Tea tastes no different than what it sounds like: too much stuff. First you got your cinnamon tea, then your chai tea. As if that wasn't enough, lets throw in rooibos tea. The taste radiates irredeemability. In combination the whole concoction tastes like pine needles and should therefore be avoided....(Read more)

Trescerro Rooibos Chai Tea

Mike: The true teasan has to be wary of rooibos tea from an unfamiliar brand like Trescerro tea. Rooibos tea is often done improperly using low grade herb with bogus flavor. Luckily, our homies at Trescerro stepped their tea game up yet again by producing this concoction: Trescerro Rooibos Chai Herbal tea. If you're a fan of the rooibos, get your greedy paws on this....(Read more)

Cha Cha Peppermint Mint Tea

Mike: Well there's a new brand of tea in town, Cha Cha Tea and it's not some wee beta nonsense you're used to. Cha Cha Peppermint Rooibos is alpha, dealing hard blows with a deadly jab jab cross hook cross jab uppercut combination that will leave you bloodied on the floor if you dare challenge its supremacy. Simply put, this is....(Read more)

Octavia Rooibos Winter Mint Tea

Mike: When you are dealing with Octavia Winter Mint Red Tea, remember to never look it in the eyes. Treat it like you would the emperor. Never turn your back toward it. Always address this Octavia Rooibos tea as "your steepness." makes sure your head is always below that of the Octavia Winter Mint Red Tea. This may require a really tall shelf to store it.  I believe this is either the best rooibos tea I have drank....(Read more)
