Sierra Brand Green Tea - Keep It On The Regular

Sierra Brand Green TeaDax: Well, Sierra Brand seems to just keep it mellow.  Nothing fancy, nothing too daring, nothing special.  I can imagine this Sierra Brand Green Tea was made on a Tuesday, probably about 65 degrees out, partly cloudy, no chance of rain.  Average is as average does for this green tea.  Drink this only if you are feeling blah, and don't want to do anything about it.

Rating: C

Mike: Sierra Brand Green Tea is a pretty standard green tea which does not exhibit any particularly fruitful stats. Did you ever see the episode of Futurama where Fry & Company visit the neutral planet? If you haven't, watch it immediately so you can understand this Sierra Brand tea. If you have, then you know exactly what I'm talking about when I say that this is the tea they would drink on the Neutral Planet. Not flavorful, not bad, bland. Not exciting but not disgusting. Just a run of the mill Sierra Green Tea that receives a run of the mill grade.

Sierra Brand Orange Spice Tea - Take the Oversteep Challenge

Sierra Brand Orange Spiced GlowMike: Sierra Brand Spiced Orange Glow is one of the best orange spiced teas I have had, right up there with Bigelow's Constant Comment and its ilk. The abnormality in this Sierra tea is the level of soothness and the mysterious vanilla undertones found nowhere in the ingredients list. Despite being an inexpensive rebranded tea type, you can't go wrong with this spiced orange tea. Forget to take your teabag out? No worries, 4/5 teasans agree that Sierra Brand Spiced Orange Glow tea battles oversteepitis better than the leading brand.

Rating: A-

Dax: So I had to look up the word ilk, thank you Mike for the new vocab. Yes, the Sierra Brand Orange Spice Glow tea is a decent blend. With the smell of fresh cinnamon and a name of a crappy tanning lotion, this herbal tea just barely jumped over the lackluster pile of orange spiced teas in the cupboard and made it into the daily drinker echelon. It has more of an orange taste than anything else, to which I cannot hate. I took the oversteep challenge, but not on purpose. My teabag string broke upon steepage, and luckily it was not the end of the world. Overall I recommend this tea if it stands before you, just don't take it bungee jumping, things might go sour.

Sierra Brand Earl Grey's Best - Who You Trying to Fool?

Sierra Earl Grey TeaMike: How dare they lay claim to being Earl Grey's best? I happen to know the Earl myself and I can vouch 100% that Sierra Brand Earl Grey is not his favorite. I know what it is but I am forbidden by contract to disclose this sensitive information under Wales Common Law code 3, statute 7, article 4. Just know that Earl Grey's Best is not Sierra brand. All that being said, it's also definitely not Earl Grey's worst either! A solid concoction with some strong bergamotability and average freshness. Definitely not a bad brew, but not the earl's finest. Let us know what you think, and don't be discuraged by this tea just because it comes in a paper pouch.

Rating: B+

Dax: Sierra brand is neither banging nor killing the game. Accordingly, their Earl Grey's best is far from the best and closer to negative infinity as you can get. The folks at home know that I will never diss the off brands or convenience store blessings. Hey, I like the generic Pop Tarts better than the original. Nonetheless, Sierra brand earl grey blew it. No crisp black tea, the bergamot is completely depleted, and the earl grey is but a dutchess. It is barely worthy of me taking my vitamins with it. No bueno.

Sierra Brand English Tradition Tea - Broken English Mos Def

Sierra Breakfast TeaDax: Sierra brand english tea is about as average as they come, yet is not completely a waste. This english breakfast tea looks to set the stage for gas station brands everywhere. Unfortunately, the stage looks like a third grade Christmas pageant with a Home Depot manger and a wise man who can't keep his finger out of his nose. Sure there are laughs and it is the cutest thing, but you paid a dollar to get in and really want to hit the Redbox on the way home for some real entertainment. No mesquite, no boldness, no bueno.

Rating: C

Mike: Sierra Brand English Tradition comes traditional with a tea for the Manchester United soccer hulligan. Speaking of English Tradition, read my English Tea Culture Teasan Training to learn all about the British Tea Hustle.  I believe this is our second Sierra Brand Tea Review, and it seems like I'm getting a feel for the kinds of tea they craft. Sierra Brand tea focuses on making daily drinkers which is exactly what the English Tradition tea is. Nice, hearty undertones with mid-range steepability gives this black tea player the ability to get female's numbers at a bar, but this Sierra Brand tea isn't closing every deal.
