Revolution Sweet Ginger Peach Tea - Off the Wall Peachiness

Revolution Peach Ginger TeaMike: Revolution Tea is coming straight at you with another quality steep. This time is the Revolution Sweet Ginger Peach Tea. This fruit tea doesn't fizzle like most because there is no clear divide between the fruit and the tea. What I mean is that this tea from Revolution tastes like peach tea, not like peach flavored tea. Know what I mean? Hard to describe but let's just say the peach ginger goodness is an intrinsic part of this one. Somewhat sweet but with no added sugar, you should definitely add this one to your tea collection. Give it a steep and tell us what you think.

Dax: Revolution ginger peach tea really didn't do much for me despite the quality brand name. It is understandable and I'm never going to hold that against Revolution tea. In this case, the ginger was artificial tasting and the peach was subtle, yet finely tuned. I don't know ladies and gents, this ginger tea with peach just did not have me geeked on it at all. Not bad, but not great.

Revolution Earl Grey Lavender Tea - Bergamot Lacking, but Still Valiant

Earl Grey Lavender TeaMike: Revolution Earl Grey Lavender Tea has all the makings of a quality tea. It comes in a neat little box with a pretty picture. This tiny box contains a neatly folded diffuser satchet. Revolution Tea describes it as "full-bodied, yet wonderfully light, this award-winning black tea blends traditional Earl Grey with fragrant blue lavender." unfortunately for this Earl Grey tea, it does no such thing. In fact every part of that description is inaccurate. The tea is anything but full-bodied...it's watered down. What award has it won? Certainly not one from Tea Amigos. Earl Grey? You can hardly, if at all taste the bergamot. The lavender is a nice touch but it's too late to salvage this one. The ingredients list make it sound so good! Ceylon, Darjeeling, and Formosa Oolong Teas all mixed in this piece. All the right ingredients culminate to this...a tasteless tea lacking personality. Get out there and get some real Earl Grey.

Dax: Revolution Earl Grey Lavender tea explodes from the starting gate with a supreme aroma. The single serving box could hardly contain the flower power. You know a tea is good when your nose is begging for it before your mouth is. So of course I got to steepin and was amazed that the scent kept getting stronger, when usually the contrary is true. The taste has a bit of mesquite in the opening innings, yet is lacking the bergamot that is signature with earl gray teas. Perhaps the lavender knocks it out. Indeed this earl grey tea with lavender essence from Revolution teas is a unique twist on the OG EG.  Mike trippin.

Revolution English Breakfast Tea - Junior Varsity Player

Revolution English BreakfastDax: Drink It In is the motto that Revolution Tea lives by, and by all means you should do just that with their Breakfast tea. Packed in the standard flow-through infuser, Revolution Breakfast tea is a bit more delicate tan most early morning blends, yet ranks as one of the better breakfast teas we have reviewed. The flavor is airy, but bountiful, and does not linger long on the palate. Those hoping for a brute breakfast blend should turn to Twining's or my personal favorite, Numi Chinese Breakfast. Revolution still handled the job with finesse and deserves top marks.

Rating: A

Mike: Revolution English Breakfast Tea is probably the least impressive of the Revolution Tea set. The tea's freshness is acceptable: a leafy aroma permeates the tea's essence and an herby taste snuggles up against your tongue like a love-struck girlfriend. However, the quality is lacking. It's as if your girlfriend is fat.
This English Breakfast Tea from Revolution Tea lacks the finesse. No trace of mesquite hickory smokiness, and a general watery sensation prevent this brew from excelling passed average. This breakfast tea is not bad by any stretch but it does not deserve the Revolution Tea label. Perhaps this was the tea dumped by the colonists during the American Revolution. Think about it.

Revolution White Tea with Pomegranate - One of the Homies

Revolution White Tea with PomegranateDax: Revolution tea threw me a curveball this afternoon with their white tea with pomegranate.  Pomegranate tea usually ends up being the offspring of a white tea and pink lemonade.  Revolution hit me with that goody good, developing a perfect combination of tea and that mystical fruit that seems to have been discovered only recently.  The white tea flavor is graciously smooth, while the pomegranate love comes in shortly thereafter.  Even after maximum steepage there was no crazy tart twang.  This one tastes like some more, awesome job Revolution.

Rating: A+

Mike:
Revolution White tea with Pomegranate is my homey. He never has anything bad to say about anyone and when we go out he always buys several rounds for the crowd. When I'm bored we go shoot some pool at the local saloon. Sometimes we'll play darts instead. The point is, Revolution Pomegranate White Tea is good to have around. The infuser bag is second to none and the leaves inside are HUGE wif large dried pomegranate chunks. The smell is intense. Revolution tea freshness is noteworthy and steepability is premier. Super solid performer this one is.

Revolution Tropical Green Tea - The Opening Act

Revolution Tropical Green TeaMike: Revolution Tropical Green Tea was a bit of a disappointment to be honest especially when compared to the first Revolution Tea we tried which their Orange Chocolate Tea. The problem with this Revolution Green Tea is not the flavor, but rather the boring base green tea used. It is reminiscent of the White Tea Melon from Intelligentsia but lacks the grassy goodness to make this Revolution Tea identifiable as such. To its credit, when cold, this flavored tea is exceptional. Sorry for the lukewarm Revolution Tea review but that's the business around here.

Rating: B

Dax: Revolution Tea had to try and match the beast that is Mighty Leaf and release a green tea of the tropical persuasion. Revolution Tropical Green Tea is an interesting blend of a few subtle, fruity flavors combined with their humble green tea. I was impressed by their tea infuser, as its silky presence in my fingertips made me forget that this is a beverage, not a toy. The flavor is indeed tropical, but not to the intensity of the Mighty Leaf Tropical Green Tea. Revolution had a tough act to follow, but they draw applause.

Revolution Orange Chocolate Green Tea - Just Like Candy

Revolution Orange Chocolate TeaDax: With the fragrance of an expensive chocolatier, Revolution Tea places orange chocolate goodness into its infuser sachets. This Orange Chocolate Green Tea from Revolution is our first review of the brand, and looks to be exciting. The taste...exquisite! I am quickly reminded of the Andes mints with orange in them. The chocolate hues are light, similar to Stash Chocolate and Hazelnut, and the green tea powers through as the hero of the story. Orange flavor isn't prevalent, but man is the landscape beautiful! Revolution tea reviews will be featured on our pages in the coming times, and I am thoroughly hyped and give a warm welcome. Check this tea out with some Pinwheel cookies, and snack on.

Rating: A

Mike: Revolution Orange Chocolate Green Tea is a Premium Full-Leaf Green Tea with 16 Flow-Through Infusers. What you just read is the box, and I would normally be making fun of "Flow-Through Infusers" if Revolution Tea did not know what the fudge they were talking about. But they do because this green tea is hella good. It starts with a medley of light orange flavor followed by a rush of smooth choco-goodness mixed with a dash of grassy green tea strut. The interesting thing is that the orange flavor is not that of an actual orange. Rather, the orange flavor is distinctively that of orange flavored chocolate candy. Best Teas here we come.
