Pickwick Wild Raspberry Rose Tea - Get The Funk Outta Here

Pickwick Raspberry Rose TeaDax: When I steeped this Pickwick Wild Raspberry Rose herbal tea, I thought to myself, what is this world coming to? The brew smells like Jolly Rancher fruit chews, which are definitely not found growing in the natural world. Upon reversing the package, I see that Mike's arch nemesis "artificial flavor" was in the mix. Loyal TeaAmigos fans, this sucks. Keep it real, Pickwick. Tart and sweet rasberries are good, so are delicate rosehips. I can definitely do without yellow 47 or green 1425. Another super tangy fruit tea that just isn't even tea in the first place.

Rating: D+

Mike: Pickwick Wild Raspberry Rose is wack as hell, period. The level of bogusability involved here knows no bounds. The cajones on Pickwick to even call this "tea" is an insult to an entire genre of beverage. What Pickwick calls Raspberry tea I call hot Hawaiian Punch with a few extra scoops of molasses to really get the sweetness to a level of subterranean tasteability. Why steep on the wackness when there are perfectly good alternatives even if you want to stay within the raspberry steepness or Pickwick teas?

Harney & Sons Red Raspberry Tea - Beethoven's Crab Scratch

Harney and Sons Tea ReviewDax: Herbal tea gives me the creeps.  I expect most of it to taste like sugar-free Kool Aid mix.  A lot of people love it though, and Celestial Seasonings is caked out because of it.  I personally could do with without fake tea in my life, but my duties to TeaAmigos keep me in check.  Harney and Sons put together a fine blend of hibiscus, rosehips, apple granules, raspberry leaves, and poppy flowers in their red raspberry tea.  It still opens up with that tart twang, but it doesn't overpower its sweet finish. As the brew came to a close it took on a more sour potency that I enjoyed very much.  Harney and Sons turned dirt into a dollar.

Rating: A-

Mike: Harney and Sons Raspberry Herbal Tea came as a surprise to me because I always think of Harney and Sons as one of the standard bearers of tea. For this tea brand to take on herbal tea is like Beethoven scratching on turntables. But, you know what? A virtuoso is a virtuoso, and if turntables existed back in 19th century Vienna, Beethoven would have probably been the biggest DJ at the hottest clubs in Austria. The same is applicable to this Harney and Sons herbal tea. It beats other herbal teas with practically the same ingredients right out of the water. The taste is a slightly tart melody of raspberry flavor and floral essences. If you recall, several months back the Tea Amigos went on a Celestial Seasonings tea review binge. Their herbal teas also had hibiscus, rose hips, and lemon peel, but the taste was bogus. When it comes to raspberry tea, trust Harney & Sons.

Double Koi Raspberry Green Tea - Oh No You Didn't

Double Koi Raspberry TeaDax: I fell out of my chair drinking Double Koi Raspberry Blend Tea.  I was not excited.  There was no electric surge in this raspberry loose green tea.  What was there was a full two struggles.  Double Koi has bangers under their belts, no doubt, but why was this tea so bogus?  It has a twang that reaches Warhead levels and it didn't drink well at all.  I'm too disappointed to go on.

Rating: D

Mike: In the teasan game, sometimes you got to know when you're beat. Simple as that, put down your gat, and don't go out like Tony Montana. Double Koi's Raspberry Blend Green Tea is no good and needs to admit defeat. The taste is wildly sweet which can be avoided with some hot water infusion but then the dillution becomes part of the situation and you don't want to dillute the green tea with, just the raspberry mess. Speaking of which, where's the green tea? It's faint presence is hardly felt and manifests itself as a bitter twang to ultra sweet raspberry nectar. More green tea, less raspberry would do this tea some benefit. One note: quality of ingredients is superb indeed. Balance sucks.

Bigelow Raspberry Royale - Smack Dab Right on the Money

Bigelow Raspberry TeaDax: Let me say a couple things about herbal tea before I get into this Bigelow tea review.  Herbal teas got herbs in them, no doubt, but you gotta be sure to screen them with this question, "Are you really tea?" If the first ingredient is chicory or rosehips, make a citizen's arest for identity theft.  The point is, Bigelow Raspberry Royale has a first ingredient of black tea, making it delectable and tasty, not tart and tangy.  The berry flavor settles in after the jump and makes you feel happy that you didn't. let just any old tea in your teacup.  I'm gonna have the Gifted one elaborate on this subject more in a tea article.

Rating: B

Mike: Bigelow Raspberry Royale packs an intense raspberry punch that is sure to yield an upper lip of maximum stiffness. In short, Bigelow tea surprised me yet again with this ultra tasty raspberry tea. As with our other Bigelow Tea Reviews, Bigelow keeps its end of the bargain by splicing maximum steepability with unparalleled smoothness in one tight package. Get a burst of delicious raspberry flavor with every sip. Don't drag your feet and get your lips all over this sachet.

Ceylon Raspberry Tea - Clearance Aisle Goodness

Ceylon-Raspberry-TeaDax: Ceylon fruit teas are the teas that put me back on to fruit tea. Not to be redundant, but fruity teas have been on my bad side for a while now. One day Mike came up to me with some little boutique looking box of flavoured tea. My mind screamed clearance item when I saw the T.J. Maxx sticker, but of course, being the distinguished teasan that I am, I quickly got to steeping the Ceylon Raspberry Tea. Their packaging is vibrant and follows “The Way of the Department Store” look and feel, yet the raspberry tea is quite bold and expressive. It is a thinner tea, claiming more stardom in the summer months. The teabag quickly releases its raspberry-infused essence into an impressionable, full bodied tea that you’ll surely be down for. As for the actual raspberry flavor, it still leaves a bit for the imagination. From my experience with this Ceylon Tea, they make some quality herbal tea. The flavor could use a bit of a upgrade in presence.

Rating: B+

Mike: You know, I feel conflicted in evaluating this fruit tea because it seems like a high quality flavored tea, but I’m just not a guy that digs raspberry teas. I like raspberries but the tea variant has never been my thing. However, if you are a big raspberry tea fan, Ceylon Teas definitely makes a contender. The flavor is not at all subtle, and not overbearing either which is definitely the sign of a quality tea. This Ceylon Tea brews dark which I definitely enjoy. However, it comes down to a matter of preference and I am just not a fan of raspberry tea. I guess you can say that this tea is...not my cup of tea.
