Organic and Pure Green Tea with Lemon - Oh Brother...

Organic and Pure Green Tea with LemonDax: The TeaAmigos will never fake the funk, and this is a prime illustration of the real-talk tea reviews that we provide. Now Organic and Pure is a brand that you will soon be able to cop from our upcoming store, but I personally do not recommend the Organic and Pure Green Tea with Lemon. I don't know if someone spilled rooibos tea in the mix, but red tea flavor oozes from the steep. Where is the green tea with lemon? Who knows. Now, devoted Organic & Pure fans may rejoice at this green tea with lemon, and by all means snag some up. For those that don't know, now you know.. Weird.

Mike: Organic and Pure tea is a tea brand that went out of business some time ago. You cannot find their tea anywhere but we have a secret cache of Organic & Pure and we've been dipping into our stores to get these tea reviews completed. Anyway, I got this theory that in the closing days of the company, everyone was scrambling around trying to figure out what to do. It must have been chaos. Watch the movie Downfall and you'll see what I mean. I bet in all of the confusion that ensued, they mistakenly put this tea in the packaging instead of the actual lemon green tea.
I'm kidding, of course. The placement was intentional but this tea really does not taste like green tea, nor lemon, nor even good. It's just some sweet mess. Look, I'm not hating on Organic and Pure. They got other blends ranging from best tea contenders to quality daily drinkers. However, this Organic and Pure green tea is bogus as hell and comes at you with too much sweetness and lacklusterability. Steep what you will but don't say I didn't warn you.

Organic and Pure White Tea with Peppermint - It's Got Pop

Organic and Pure White Peppermint TeaMike: Mystery shrouds Organic and Pure White Tea with Peppermint. It tastes and looks like a black tea but the packaging clearly labels it as white tea. Whose side is this Organic and Pure Tea working for?
Again, Organic & Pure brings home daily drinker hard. It's not that their teas are any worse than the premium brands, it's that they're loose leaf quality in a teabag and readily accessible. If you like mint tea you're going to love this one because it's got a healthy dose, not to mention a some quality Bai Mu Dan white tea to set the teasan mood.

Rating: A-

Dax: Organic and Pure white tea with peppermint is a tasty and interesting blend from this underground tea brand. Mike was dead set on this being a black tea, yet I confide in the abilities of the Bai Mu Dan leaves to perplex even the most gifted teasans. Organic and Pure tea is one of my favorite brands, and they do not let me down with this white tea. The color is dark, yet it retains maximum steepability by means of a crisp texture. I took the oversteep challenge and by the end of the cup, it did indeed taste like it had some soul.. Grab this guy while you can.

Organic and Pure Green Tea - The Labor of Love

Organic and Pure Green TeaDax: By popular demand the TeaAmigos must take their esteemed teasanship to the like of Organic and Pure tea. This is one of those brands that will have you hooked, then disappear from the face of the earth. Organic and Pure green tea is a good example of an underground daily drinker. It's got that crispiness the I love plus the sencha taste that makes the green in you jump for joy. I know you are having a hard time finding this again, and the TeaAmigos are at your rescue. Coming extremely soon we will be able to suffice your Organic & Pure tea addiction. Must I say stay tuned?

Mike: We get requests on a daily basis asking us where people can buy Organic and Pure tea. The answer is no where...yet. We got a surprise coming your way but for now the brand is dead and there's nowhere to get it.
Why the company went out of business is a mystery to me because their teas, including Organic and Pure Green tea, are fire. Like other Organic & Pure teas, this green tea has the flavor pop I've come to know and love. Grassy and sassy, Organic & Pure Green tea must have been their labor of love, a lifelong ambition if you will. It's missing some of the Asianness of the real primo green teas but other than that you got yourself a hella good daily drinker.

Organic and Pure White Tea with Peppermint - Gentle and Nourishing

Organic and Pure TeaDax: Now Organic and Pure, by definition, is a no guilt organic tea the usually makes me feel on point no matter the circumstances.  I scooped up this Organic and Pure White Tea with Peppermint after a long skate session in the city.  Clearly I need a cool down white tea with rejuvenating anti-oxidants.  This peppermint white tea investment was a blue chip success.  Organic & Pure really makes some healthy tasting tea, and this is no exception.  The mint tea flavor was not very potent, but its lack of black tea already let me know what to expect.  The white tea is crisp, reminiscent of their white tea with lemongrass in our Best Teas devotionals.  Check this out and feel good about yourself for not choosing Faygo.

Rating: B+

Mike: Sometimes flavors clash.  That's what I feel with this Organic and Pure White Tea with Peppermint.  Since I've never been a big peppermint tea aficionado, I might have a bias against them.  In this white tea, the peppermint completely overpowers the flavor.  In general I'd think the white tea + peppermint blend would be a poor mixological choice because white tea is infamous for its weaker, more gentle flavor.  In order to make this flavored tea work, Organic and Pure should have reduced their peppermint content to a mere dash, just to add some spice.  Organic and Pure, you listening?  Hire me as your tea consultant!

Organic and Pure Cinnamon Rooibos Chai Tea - More Than A Mouthful

Organic and Pure Tea ReviewMike: Organic and Pure Cinnamon Chai with Rooibos Tea tastes no different than what it sounds like: too much stuff. First you got your cinnamon tea, then your chai tea. As if that wasn't enough, lets throw in rooibos tea. The taste radiates irredeemability. In combination the whole concoction tastes like pine needles and should therefore be avoided. The smell is good, but in a bathroom air freshner sort of way. Still it is important to note that this Organic and Pure tea is in fact caffeine-free (like pretty much all herbal tea) and is an organic tea. One of my favorite teas is an Organic & Pure tea so I'm a little discouraged by this one's performance.

Dax: Organic and Pure Chai Rooibos Tea is a mammoth of a name, from a company that usually hits us with mammoth grade tea. This time my palette persisted on a perplexed pathway towards pollution. Not only did I taste the chai tea and the cinnamon tea, but all these other tastes hit me hard as well. I'm a fan of Organic and Pure Tea Reviews, their White Tea with Lemongrass is a standout on our best tea page, but this one was a bit too much effort. It's like when Mr. Burns on The Simpsons had every disease known to man, and they all cancelled each other out, rendering him healthy, yet extremely unstable. TheOrganic and Pure Cinnamon tea is good, but they almost hit a brick wall with all that chemist-like mixing.

Organic and Pure White Tea with Lemongrass - Straight "A" Student

Mike: I’ve never heard of Organic & Pure Company before but they did not contemplate very long on the title. That’s like a lawyer naming his practice “Honest and expensive” or like a gynecologist naming hers “discrete and painless.” Boo on the name.


Yay on the taste! Organic and Pure’s white tea with lemongrass is simply delicious. The leaves are ripe with a satisfying flavor, like a fruit picked just before its ripest which gives it that slightly sour taste, only complimented by the hint of lemongrass. Like a fine wine, the bouquet of flavors lies dormant within this lemongrass tea and can only be awakened by the presence of a solid object in one’s mouth, such as bread, or fruit. This organic tea worked synergistically with my bagel breakfast to deliver one of the finest post-slumber experiences in recent memory.


Overall Rating: A+


Dax:  After an unprecedented 3 trial cups of Organic & Pure’s White Tea with Lemongrass, I came this astounding conclusion: this tea is fantabulous. Mike and I almost drank the entire box in two hours. Organic & Pure Tea is a new brand to TeaAmigos, and they came out shooting.  Lemongrass tea and white tea come together to form a cup of cooling, calming ambrosia. This antioxidant-rich 100% organic tea is such a great all day drinking tea, and the flavor is mild, yet remarkable. The white tea texture is a soft and smooth as silk, while a hint of sweetness is detected during the final rounds. It’s just so perfect that it is hard to explain. Please, do yourself a favor and try Organic & Pure’s White Tea with Lemongrass. Sip, reflect, repeat.
